What is Low Dose Naltrexone?

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is a novel treatment for chronic conditions that are thought to be associated with inflammation and auto-immune disorders.

Auto-immune disorders are conditions that result when the body’s own immune system attacks healthy cells by mistake.

LDN is able to help patients with these conditions through a number of actions that “tame the flame” in inflammation, and by fooling the body into producing increased amounts of “feel good” chemicals such as endorphins, enkephalins, and opioids.

LDN also has been shown to enhance our own body’s immune system and strengthen our resistance to illness and disease.

Examples of conditions that LDN has been known to improve

  • Fibromyalgia
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Chronic Pain Disorder
  • Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
