Healthy Eating Made Easy – Are you ready for a change in your own or your family’s health and don’t know where to start? This workshop takes the frustration out of learning how to cook healthier. We will share our “secret formula” for changing over from the Standard American Diet, or SAD, to a healthier lifestyle. These techniques have worked for toddlers, teenagers, and even picky adults. This is our main workshop, and all of our other classes teach concepts that stem from this night. You don’t want to miss out on these amazing tips! There will also be plenty of recipes for you to take home, as well as delicious samples for you to try! We hope to see you there!
Dairy Free Living – This is a great class even if you are not allergic to dairy. We discuss the “Dairy Myth,” what all is truly in dairy, and healthier options for the body. Learn what types of foods contain more calcium than a glass of milk, how to cook with dairy-free milks, how to make your own nut milks at home, and how to make amazing dairy-free desserts. Life does go on without dairy and it is wonderful! During the workshop we will enjoy sampling dairy-free desserts, and of course we will send you home with all of the recipes!
I Love Sugar – Don’t give up your favorite desserts in order to be healthier! Join us for an evening of tasty treats, all made without refined sugar, and learn tips on converting your favorite sweet recipes into healthier options. We will be sampling many different types of sweeteners, and you will learn where you can buy them and how each one can be used in your favorite family recipes. You will also receive some recipes for healthier dessert options, all of which have been previously approved by even the pickiest of little eaters!
Candida Cleanse – Candida is a fungus, which is a form of yeast. Its job is to aid with digestion and nutrient absorption but, when overproduced, candida breaks down the wall of the intestine and penetrates the bloodstream, releasing toxic byproducts into your body. This can lead to many different health problems. During this workshop, we will be covering how to overcome candida growth and will explain nutritional guidelines that feed the body and not the yeast.
Healthy Holiday Cooking – The holidays can be very hectic and busy which can cause us to eat unhealthy. Receive tips for attending holiday parties and holiday dinners without compromising a healthy lifestyle. Learn techniques for creating healthier versions of your favorite holiday recipes. We will sample amazing appetizers and desserts that feed your body instead of filling it up with empty calories. At the end of the evening we will send you home with all of the amazing recipes to enjoy with your families.
Gluten Free Living – Don’t let the title scare you! For those of us who do eat gluten, this is still a great class! Education on gluten-free whole grains, where to buy them, and how to incorporate these amazing healthy grains into your lifestyle will be shared. We will discuss the difference between gluten sensitivity, a gluten allergy, and celiac disease. We will share tips on how to reverse the damaging effects that gluten has on the body, and the secret on how to convert your favorite recipes to amazing gluten-free versions. Even chocolate cake can look and taste amazing without gluten grains! We will also briefly discuss living a Paleo lifestyle and baking with nut and seed flours. Enjoy several amazing desserts, all gluten-free of course, along with recipes to take home at the end of the night.
